Before starting with the review, I feel having to come out clean with a piece of embarrassing information: even if I did hear the name “Von Kaiser” quite a lot of times before they reached out to submit “The End Is The Beginning” for a review I had never actually heard their music. Not once.
This happens a lot, doesn’t it? You see the name of a new band, you see people talking about their music, but there’s so much to do, so many different musicians and artists around overloading your systems, that you just pass on them thinking “I’ll come to them eventually“, only to never reach that point.
But it’s a shame, cause the music you’re passing on might be one of the best ones you’ve ever heard.
And here we are, talking about the reasons why this album might actually be one of the best you’ve ever heard, and why you should not pass on it.
The End Is The Beginning - Luca's Take
I think that the word to perfectly represent this album is: “multi-flavored“, kind of like a good package of differently flavored candies from whom you never know which one you’ll be picking up next, but you know that whatever it’ll be, it’ll be damn good.
The overall experience then gets blended together with deep and powerful lyrics that thicken the whole experience bringing it to another level.
Listening to it reminded me of a lot of music I used to listen to as a kid in the 90s, lying on my bed with closed eyes and headphones on. A magic experience.
Luca's favorite track in The End Is The Beginning
Even tho all tracks in the album are extremely good, the moment “FALLEN” started, I immediately knew it was going to be my album favorite.
The vibe of it resonates with me on a very deep level, tickling deep and impactful emotions with melancholic, but powerful, vibes that make my soul tremble in excitement.
I really can’t recommend this song enough, and I’d love to know what you think about it should you want to share your experience with me in the comments below the blog post!
The End Is The Beginning - Alex's Take
A title with a philosophical note…the end is the beginning…But I took it literally and started listening to it from the last song, going backward.
The first thing I noticed is the rhythm, lively and energetic, while the second is the voice: the vocal timbre and style like that of the great Seal, a perfect mix to create an album that relaxes, intoxicates, and energizes, all at the same time.
Alex's favorite track in The End Is The Beginning
In conclusion, Von Kaiser’s “The End Is The Beginning” is a multi-flavored album that offers an unforgettable musical experience. With synthwave, retro pop, rock, and funky vibes blended together, each track is a surprise that will keep you on your toes.
The powerful lyrics add another layer of depth to the album, making it a true masterpiece.
We both have our favorite tracks, but every song is a gem in its own right.
We highly recommend giving this a listen and discovering for yourself what makes this album so special.
Don’t pass on this band – they might just be one of the best you’ve ever heard
