Take a moment and think about the last product you bought because some trendy influencer gave it a glowing review. Did it really change your life, or did it end up collecting dust in the corner?
Now think back to the last time a showman, an influencer, an actor, or another member of the show business told you what was right and what was wrong. Are you sure it did not impact your thoughts?
Our new song “INFLUENCERS” cuts through the Instagram filters and sponsored posts to unveil a harsh reality: we’re being manipulated, plain and simple. It’s provocative, it’s raw, and yes, it’s going to make you question every like you’ve ever given.
We’re diving headfirst into an anti-influencer message that’s been long overdue. This isn’t just another catchy tune; it’s a wake-up call. Through pointed lyrics and an edgy beat, “INFLUENCERS” takes aim at the superficiality that drives social media culture. You might love these influencers for their glamorous lives and perfect feeds, but are they genuinely sharing or selling you lies wrapped in pretty packages? Spoiler alert: it’s often the latter.
Ready to uncover more? Buckle up: it’s time to dive deep into a world where followers are preyed upon by fake personas in expensive clothes. We’re going beyond what’s on the surface to show you just how thick this web of deceit runs.
The Dark Side of Influencer Culture
Let’s get real for a moment: influencers have taken the online world by storm, but behind those perfect Instagram feeds and catchy TikTok videos lies a manipulative underbelly. Remember that time an influencer mysteriously fell in love with a certain “amazing” skincare brand? Yeah, turns out it was all part of a pre-paid campaign. These so-called authentic moments are often contractual obligations wrapped in an emotionally appealing package designed to reel you right in.
The influencer persona is built on superficiality and fakeness. Like it or not, most of these social media stars carefully curate every aspect of their public image to project perfection and relatability simultaneously. It’s like watching reality TV: you know it’s staged, but some part of you still buys into it. From Photoshop-perfect bodies enhanced by filters to supposedly spontaneous adventures sponsored by travel companies, what you see is rarely what you get.
And the more time goes on, the more the classic figure of the “Instagram” kind of influencer changes to the point that every public figure is turning or trying to turn into one: politicians, actors, singers… every single one of the to either scam you of your money, or to scam you on your vote and, in the end, of your thoughts, trying to plant the Ideas they want you to think into your brain via more or less subtle manipulations of different kinds, even if mainly depending on look.
There was a time we could say that only the ones who showed their face could be trusted, nowadays it’s usually the ones that show their faces the most that are almost certainly trying to manipulate you for their own benefit.
Ultimately, what makes this so sinister is that everything is accurately organized to provide an image that can be admired and trusted, just so that the trust you place into these people can then be exploited for some kind of profit.
It’s easy to overlook the deception when you’re engrossed in their feel-good content and meticulously edited lifestyles. But acknowledge this: beneath those vibrant facades lurks a well-oiled machine designed to manipulate your desires and choices without you even realizing it.
Gaining Power Through Deception
So, let’s talk about scammy influencers. You know the ones promoting products that are total garbage or services that never deliver?
Know the ones that create their own brands just to exploit the admiration of thousand of mindless admirators with overpriced scams? Here in Italy, to say one, we’ve had “THE” most famous influencer create a “water” brand, literally sending water bottle, at like 50 bucks each.
She started selling flippers at 250 bucks each… and people just went with it no problem!
These people then passed on to tell people what music they had to like, what political ideas they had to support…
…and in the end? They were busted exploiting children charities for their benefits, with sales on products that were supposed to go into helping child healthcare, that were just funneled in their millionairt’s lifestyle.
These folks rely more on trickery than talent to the point we can say that trickery is their talent.
The deception doesn’t stop at marketed scams, though. Many influencers weave false narratives to rack up followers and gather sympathy votes. Some might fake illnesses, breakups, you name it, all for those juicy clicks and shares.
We’ve seen influencers sneakily editing their “candid” snaps to completely alter settings or events to portray lives they aren’t actually living. Remember that influencer who got called out for pretending she was on a lavish vacation when she was really posing in an IKEA? It’s all about creating an illusion.
And let’s not overlook how often sponsored content slips under the radar as heartfelt endorsements from influencers we trust. You’ve probably seen posts where they’re gushing over a product they’ve been “using for years” without telling you they’ve just inked a deal with the brand last week. Sneaky product placements and undisclosed sponsorships can fool even the most savvy social media user into buying stuff they wouldn’t otherwise look twice at. Look, transparency is key here; anything less feels like flat-out lying.
Now take all of this but think everything is done by politicians… only with your votes instead of money, and their political ideas instead of marketed items.
Can you imagine the massive amount of damage that could cause?
Well.. I got bad news for you: it’s already happened. It’s YEARS that’ all of this is happening.
It’s dodgy practices like these that highlight why we need songs like “INFLUENCERS.” This kind of manipulation can’t be left unchecked if we want any semblance of integrity online. The scary part is how quickly falsehoods can spread once an influencer taps into our screens and minds with strategic deceit pinned as sparkling truth.
Society’s Blind Admiration
So, let’s talk about why people seem to worship influencers, even when it’s crystal clear they’re being manipulated. It’s like we’re all under some mass hypnosis, right? We know these influencers meticulously curate their lives to seem perfect and relatable simultaneously, but despite this awareness, many still line up for a front-row seat to their daily charade. Maybe it’s the illusion of intimacy or the dream of living vicariously through someone else’s highlight reel. Whatever it is, it tugs at our desire to belong and be validated in an increasingly digital world.
Now, toss in social media algorithms that are designed to keep us hooked on this influencer content: it’s a total recipe for disaster. These algorithms prioritize engagement over all else, meaning that the more controversial or sensationalized the content is, the more likely it will flood your feed.
Platforms want you addicted because your time spent scrolling equals revenue for them. It’s no wonder then that they push influencer culture so aggressively. They’re basically orchestrating a theater where admirers buy into every scene without questioning if it’s real or staged.
But hold up: is there any harm in just mindlessly enjoying some posts? Actually, yes! Take for instance those ‘wellness’ influencers who preach unverified health tips. I’ve seen people ditch prescribed medications because Influencer X swore by some dubious supplement brand, only to face serious health setbacks later on. Or how about fashion influencers pushing fast fashion hauls as moral equivalents of art? The environmental impact is catastrophic yet largely ignored due to blind admiration.
How about political influencers advertising wars? The result? half of our world is now at war, with people actually pointing fingers against the ones that’d like to have peace, accusing them to be the evil ones.
We’ve got real-life consequences here folks; people’s finances crash from impulse buys sparked by influencer promotions or their self-worth dwindles because they can’t match these faux-perfect lifestyles. So yeah, society’s blind adoration isn’t just benign fanfare; it’s an enabling force propping up manipulative practices with very tangible fallout for individuals and broader communities alike.
Remember this: social media have nothing “social” about them anymore and or nothing but weapons of mass destruction for our brain, also one of the reasons why we’ve opened up our discord server which is basically the only place we interact with people: no forced ads, no censorship, no brain garbage.
Our Approach with “INFLUENCERS”
The song “INFLUENCERS” emerged from an emotion of sadness deriving from seeing thousands of people manipulated into every aspect of their daily lives by these scratchy individuals.
We aimed to peel back the glossy veneer and expose the ugly truths lurking beneath.
We finally decided to go for this song after the lives of so many people here in Italy were manipulated, with tons of individuals played for fools, from the main influencer “couple” of the nation: overpriced producers, virulent ideas spreading like cancer, the Italian “music world” destroyed and filled with “sounds” that could not even be called “art”, more “propaganda” or “brain garbage”, full of hypocrisy… ultimately ended with a scam to thousands of people that bought a product thinking they were financing children charity while in reality, they were only financed these people excessive lifestyles.
What happened after that? who knows? they cried, they sold tons of shirts equal to the one used in the crying videos, they broke up and restarted everything from scratch each on their own.
THIS. HAS. TO. BE. STOPPED!
Lyrically, “INFLUENCERS” dives headfirst into themes of deception, superficiality, and outright exploitation. The chorus is catchy and alternates between straight-up accusations and deceptive thoughts of the influencer itself echoing the sentiment that behind every smile and hashtag blessed, there’s often an insatiable hunger for profit and fame.
Creating this piece wasn’t just an act of songwriting: it was a cathartic experience.
“INFLUENCERS” isn’t just another track; it’s a battle cry calling for transparency and truth in an industry overflowing with fabrications. By embedding our frustrations within every beat and lyric, we’ve made sure this song doesn’t just play; it lingers long after its final note has faded out, urging listeners to question whom they’re really following online.
"DEMONS": An Album Unmasking Human Demons
Coming hot on the heels of “INFLUENCERS,” our upcoming album “DEMONS” takes things a notch higher. This isn’t just an album; it’s a raw, unflinching exploration into the darker corners of human nature and societal pitfalls. We’re tackling everything from exploitation to sheer hypocrisy, and trust me, we’re pulling no punches. Each track is crafted to unearth the demons that lurk behind shiny facades, whether those facades belong to influencers or corrupt institutions.
Take “FOR YOUR OWN GOOD,” for example: a scathing critique on social puppetry where higher-ups pull all the strings while everyone else dances to their tune, convinced that everything they have to give up is given up for their own good, slowly giving up on their lives, dreams, futures.
We’ve also got “FINAL FIREWORKS” which dives deep into the plague that is war. Every kind of war.
But it doesn’t stop there. “DEMONS” isn’t just pointing fingers; it’s holding up a mirror to society’s vices and asking us all to take a good hard look. We’re shining a spotlight on issues like cyberbullying or emotional manipulation. i
By taking such bold stances, we’re not merely making music; we’re creating a call-to-action wrapped in killer tunes. The entire project is meant to provoke thought, incite change, and really drive home the message: Wake up! Society’s evils aren’t lurking in shadows anymore; they’re right out in the open for us all to see if only we’d dare look closer. Stay tuned because “DEMONS” is gearing up to be both a sonic rebellion and an eye-opener.
Unmasking the Manipulators: Final Thoughts
So here’s the kicker: influencer manipulation isn’t just a small glitch in the system—it’s practically built into the fabric of social media. It’s frustrating to see how easily we’re led by these supposed ‘role models’ peddling scammy products and fake lifestyles. Our song “INFLUENCERS” dives headfirst into this mess, calling out the charade for what it is. The message? Don’t just swallow what you’re fed. Question, critique, and think for yourself. This isn’t about hating influencers; it’s about reclaiming our power as consumers and individuals.
And seriously, if you think “INFLUENCERS” hit hard, wait till you hear the rest of our upcoming album “DEMONS.” We’re going all-in on unmasking various societal evils and exploitation tactics that plague our everyday lives. Stay tuned for more eye-opening revelations: we’re just getting started.
