Xennon‘s name is certainly not unknown to many fans of the synthwave/synthpop genre, but it is the first time we find ourselves talking about one of his songs on this site, so let’s take a moment for a brief introduction.
Xennon is a musician, music producer, as well as a mixing and mastering engineer from England who until recently was based in Tokyo, a city from which much of his musical inspiration comes, merging with that of classic artists such as Genesis and Rush.
He has already released three albums and is about to release the fourth, from which the track we are discussing today, “LINDA,” is released as the second single.

The song's meaning
It’s hard to listen to this song without being moved: what we have in front of us is not a song written for entertainment or profit, but a true dedication to a loved one, important, who suddenly is no longer with us, creating a powerful inner void and leading us to reflect on the choices we make in life that often lead us to be distant from those we love.
That time will not come back; we must forgive ourselves for those choices, even though there always comes a time when they make us feel guilty, doing everything to live in a worthy manner, ensuring that we become the best legacy of the people who have influenced our existence.
This song is a love that transcends the romantic, transformed into music.
And the only word that can describe it is “heartfelt.”
Musical Analysis
As always, Xennon’s music is a mix of explosive energy and emotion, with rhythmic lines blending together like threads of fabric that, in the complexity of their interweaving, create the artwork of the most beautiful carpets, full of colors and energy.
Each line creates a musical layer that seems to have a life of its own but exists in perfect harmony with the others, creating a state of pure musical harmony that, with its energy combined with the emotion conveyed by voice and lyrics, in its complexity, leads me to imagine a simple image: that of a photo resting on the bedside table; a picture of a smiling person, vibrant with energy. A moment frozen in time, unable to fade away.
Conclusion
“LINDA” by Xennon is a song full of emotions that, in its sonic complexity, does nothing but depict the simplicity of a love that goes far beyond the romantic, one of those loves that between joys and regrets will never end.
